Overview

The Prayer Ministry at First Irving

We pray because we believe God. We encourage prayer at First Irving not only through set opportunities, but we also encourage men and women to be people of continual prayer. Paul told the church in Thessalonica to "pray without ceasing." So prayer is more than just a church program, it is an abiding in the power and presence of Christ. Jesus taught us about meeting alone with the Lord, and the book of Acts taught us how to pray cooperatively as an assembly of Believers.

At First Irving, we believe prayer is the fuel of the Church, and we always want to provide opportunities for the body of Christ to pray together. Below are several ways you can be involved with the prayer ministry of First Irving.

GATHERING

Prayer Gathering

Prayer Gathering takes place every Wednesday at 6:30 PM in the Fellowship Hall. A meal is served at 5:30 PM, and is immediately followed by Prayer Gathering. Seated around round tables with people from all ages and walks of life, Prayer Gathering on Wednesday nights are always a sweet time of prayer and fellowship for the church body.

Women's Prayer Gathering

Every Saturday evening at 8:00 PM in the Worship Center.

Men's Prayer Gathering

Every Sunday morning at 8:00 AM in the Pastor's office.

Missions Prayer Groups

Missions Prayer Groups meet to pray for the mission points and those on mission from the church. For specific dates and times, please check the missions page of the website.

All Church Prayer Email

This is a way for you to know how to pray for families and situations within our church community. You will receive approximately 2-3 emails a month to learn how to pray specifically.

Please let the Pastor's Office know that you would like to be included on the all-church prayer email.
