Senior Life at First Irving

The Senior Life Ministry at First Irving is a loving, caring outreach and ministry to senior adults in Irving.
 

GATHERING

On Sunday mornings, Adult Bible Fellowship (ABF) groups meet every Sunday for Bible Study and fellowship. These ABF groups meet at 10:00 AM following the Classic Worship Service, which begins at 8:40 AM.

GROWING

The Evergreen Luncheon is a vital part of First Irving's ministry to Seniors. This group meets most Tuesday mornings throughout the year at 11:30 am in the Fellowship Hall for lunch, prayer, fellowship, and a program. The lunch is priced at $3 per person. 

GOING

The homebound ministry is for those unable to attend worship services and Bible study on Sunday morning for health reasons. Through coordinated efforts between the staff and volunteers, CD’s & DVD’s are provided for members of First Irving who aren’t able to worship with us in person each week. If you would like to volunteer to serve in the Homebound Ministry, please contact the church office and we will be happy to put you in contact with the Homebound Ministry Director, Susan Chambers. 

Additionally Senior Adults are encouraged to participate in the numerous events and mission trips that are sponsored by the church each year. A few of which are listed below:

  • Family Ski Trip
  • Caribbean Cruises
  • Local, National, & International Mission Trips
  • Branson, Missouri

  • April 13 - Dallas Arboretum tour with lunch at the Highland Park Cafeteria Gaither Homecoming Concert and supper. (date to be announced) 
  • May 20 - Heaven's Front Porch show and lunch in Waxahachie
