Dear Church Family,
At the membership meeting on January 21, we layed out 3 Biblical convictions that we want our church family to begin praying about.
- Prioritizing corporate worship for every member
- Meaningful membership (driven by knowing each other and caring for each other)
- Godly leadership and oversight (of the whole congregation)
We want our whole church to begin praying through these convictions and to consider what God's word says about each. Our sincere hope is that our convictions lead us to godly practices and obedience.
One thing we are asking you to consider as we pray and fast about these convictions, is how do we better prioritize each of these convictions when thinking about the whole congregation; both English and Spanish speakers.
This prayer and fasting guide is provided to help meditate on some biblical categories as we
consider every member of our church family. We will have a town hall meeting about this on
Feb 18 at 5pm.
With joy in Christ,
Your Elders
What's next?
This February (on the 6th and 12th), our church family will be praying and fasting through a few core Biblical convictions that the elders are bringing forward to the congregation. This is not all convictions, but the first convictions we want to corporately pray through together as we seek God and his will according to the Scriptures. In prayer and fasting, we are asking God to help us hunger for his glory and to be faithful to his word as we consider how to love and care for one another. We strongly encourage any and all that are physically able to join us in seeking God through fasting and praying.
When are we fasting?
1st fast. Our fast begins after dinner on Monday (Feb 5), skip breakfast and lunch on Tuesday (Feb 6), then break the fast by eating dinner on Tuesday.
2nd fast. Our fast begins after dinner on Sunday (Feb 11), skip breakfast and lunch on Monday (Feb 12), then break the fast by eating dinner on Monday.
*Find time throughout the day to set aside time to pray, or perhaps during your normal meal times you can spend time praying when you normally eat.
