Community Groups

making disciples locally for the glory of God

Community Groups at First Irving

The primary means of discipleship occurs when we gather on Sunday mornings as a church to hear the preaching of God's Word. However, this is just the starting point for our discipleship throughout the week. The Scriptures call the church to love and serve one another in many other ways, so that we can be built up together into the likeness of Jesus.

Community Groups provide an invaluable opportunity for church members to gather throughout the week. In these groups, people can reflect on the Sunday sermon, fulfill the various "one another" commands of Scripture, and care for each other's souls. These groups are multi-generational, welcoming both the youngest and oldest members of the church.
