Holocaust Museum | September 10, 2024
A trip to the Holocaust Museum in Dallas is an immersive, interactive journey unlike any other. Our group will visit the Museum on Tuesday, September 10th. Tickets for adults 55+ are priced at $17 per person. Plan now to join us for an incredible day. Unforgettable doesn't begin to describe the experience.
Branson & The Ark | September 30 - October 7, 2024
We are very excited to offer a special 7 day trip to Branson, Nashville, and The Ark/Creation Museum in Kentucky. The plan is to leave from the church early on September 30th and head to Branson, Missouri. We will spend two nights in Branson and see the production of Esther at the Sound & Sight Theatre. We'll also have some time in Branson to see two or three other shows.
The next stop is in Kentucky where we will spend two nights and visit the Creation Museum and Ark Experience.
Lastly, we will stop in Nashville on the way back to Texas and see the Grand Ole Opry.
The plan is to arrive back in Irving on Monday, October 7th.
The cost for transportation, 7 nights lodging, and tickets to Esther, the Creation Museum, The Ark Encounter, and the Grand Ole Opry is $795 per person, double occupancy. Meals are additional.
In order to know how many tickets to purchase and hotel rooms to reserve, a deposit of $150 per person will be needed to hold your place in our group. The deposit must be paid no later than August 25th. You can go online now and sign up and pay your deposit for this trip.
State Fair | October 10, 2024
We will be taking a group to the State Fair of Texas. The plan is to leave from the church in our small van at 10:30 am and return back to the Church by 5:00 pm. Everyone will be dropped off and picked up right at the Fair entrance near the Hall of State. It is an easy walk to get your Fletcher's corn Dog, corn on the cob, tornado tater, or whatever you like best to eat. Seniors over the age of 60 can purchase their ticket to the Fair for $5 at the entrance gate.

Southern Baptist Convention | June 9-11, 2025
We are going to have the unique experience to be able to attend the Southern Baptist Convention as it meets in Dallas on June 9-11, 2025, at the Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center in downtown Dallas. We plan to take a group from First Irving to the Convention each day so you can experience for yourself the workings of our Baptist Convention. More details will follow as we get closer to June 2025. There is no charge to attend the convention since our church is a co-operating church and member of the SBC.
