Scripture: John 3:16–17

Main Idea. God loves a condemned world by giving His Son to save it. Question. Why must the Son of man be given and be lifted up? Answer. Because God loves sinners. Four Movements of God’s love : 1.God’s Love Initiates Our Salvation (v.16) 16 For God so loved the world, 2. God’s Love Acts Sacrificially (v.16) that he gave his only Son, 3. God’s Love Invites Freely (v.16) that whoever believes in him 4. God’s Love Secures Eternally (vv.16–17) should not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Takeaways. One Son. One Mission. One God in Three Persons. Two Destinies.
