Scripture: Haggai 2:20-23
Why can God’s people be strengthened for the Day of the Lord? Big Idea: God will bring peace through his judgment, and fulfill his promises through a Chosen Servant. Because God Promises to Provide Peace By Overthrowing Kingdoms(20–22) Apply: Take heart. Do not put your trust in horses and chariots (in military and power).(Ps 20:7) Give yourself now to the Kingdom of God. 2) Because God Promises to Provide a Chosen Servant (23) Apply: Prepare your heart for the One who sits on David’s throne and his kingdom. Don’t miss the intricacies of God’s word. Introduce the nations to the King who will overthrow them.
